National 3 Peaks Challenge

This is without doubt one of the most popular challenges around and one of the toughest at the same time. Climbing the three Highest Peaks in the home nations: Scotland, England and Wales. Starting with Ben Nevis before heading south for, Scafell Pike and then finishing at Snowdon. The challenge is all the more tough as we complete the whole lot in 24 hrs. Now that is going to be challenging!

A total of 480 miles of driving, a large part during the night, and climbing a total of almost 3000 vertical metres, makes this a special kind of challenge, and not one that everyone is going to manage. Why not give yourself a goal this year to train for? Why not say that you're going to put yourself to the test, and join the Classic 3 Peaks Challenge 2014 for an amazing cause?

Join a group of like-minded adventurous individuals who will be taking part in this event, looking for a tough weekend, with a few laughs along the way to look back upon…. This challenge could change your life - so be prepared!

Heather Barnes conquered the 3 peaks last year:

"In October 2011 my Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer at the age of 63. The news came as a huge shock to us all.

He was put in contact with Prostate Cancer UK via one of his friends who volunteers for the organisation, and found the support pack provided to him extremely helpful in guiding him through the various treatment options. He remarked at the time how much money he thought it must have cost to put all that information together, and what a great resource it was. That's when I decided to try and do my part to raise money for the charity that had helped my Dad during such a difficult time.

The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the highest mountains of Scotland, England and Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) in a 24-hour period. What made this particular challenge so rewarding was sharing the experience with a team of friends, and of course the massive sense of achievement when we finally completed the challenge!"
