"We wanted to honour one of our club legends"

Bedford Blues Rugby Club held a collection and a lunch for their first game of the season in memory of one of their club legends, Mark Howe. The club raised £3,052.50, which is a fantastic tribute to their second most capped player, with 478 appearances and 37 tries between 1976-96. Mark tragically died of prostate cancer in May at the age of 54. Donations in his memory collected at his funeral totalled £1,500 -- and Mark's wife Rebekah is determined to raise awareness as well as funds. A big thank you to everyone involved in the collections for all their hard work.
