Study Day: Sex and relationships, supporting men with prostate cancer

Prostate Cancer UK and the Royal Marsden School of Cancer Nursing and Rehabilitation are delighted to offer FREE study days for professionals working with men who have prostate cancer.

The aim of this study day is to enhance participants’ confidence in discussing concerns about sex and relationships and identifying possible supportive interventions. It will provide an opportunity for participants to consider the issues that may impact on a man’s relationship and sexual function following diagnosis and / or treatment of prostate cancer. Different approaches to discussing sex and relationships will be explored and some basic supportive strategies to help address psychosexual concerns will be identified.

  • Greater awareness of the issues that may influence a man’s relationships and sexual function following diagnosis and/or treatment of prostate cancer
  • Gain confidence in discussing sexual issues with men with prostate cancer
  • Develop a knowledge of some basic supportive strategies to help address psychosexual concerns
