At this year's Plain English Awards ceremony the Charity received an award for a number of its key publications. The winning publications were just three of a wide range of information leaflets and booklets produced by the Charity, aimed at helping men and their families understand prostate cancer and cope with diagnosis and treatment.

The Prostate Cancer Charity is pleased to announce the appointment of four new trustees to the Board of its fast-expanding organisation. Mark Britnell, Sharon Fraser, Bob Humphreys and Vanessa Vallely bring exceptional qualifications and experience to the Charity and are to join their first full Board meeting in December. They come at a time when the Charity is embarking on an ambitious development programme.

Three amendments to the Health and Social Care Bill proposed by the Charity were debated in the House of Lords this week.
