The Prostate Cancer Charity is delighted to announce that it has
been shortlisted for a Chartered Institute of Public Relations
(CIPR) Excellence Award for Outstanding In-House Public Relations
Team. The CIPR Excellence Awards recognise and reward best practice
in public relations throughout the UK and acknowledge personal and
team achievement at the highest professional level.
The Charity faces strong competition from a number of different
organisations including The British Heart Foundation, The Royal
Shakespeare Company and the British Library.
The judges will be looking at the impact of in-house campaigns
that the Charity has run, such as Prostate Cancer Awareness Month,
the Charity's response to media enquiries from journalists and its
place on the media agenda, as well as the growth of the Charity's
VIP Relations work, over the past three years.
Shortlisted entrants, including the Charity, will now be invited
for interview by a panel of judges comprising senior PR
practitioners and experts from the business, media, marketing and
advertising communities. Winners will be announced at the
Excellence Awards Dinner at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel
in London on the evening of Wednesday 1 June 2011.
