Legendary TV presenter and long term supporter of The Prostate
Cancer Charity, Andi Peters, took part in a celebrity version of
ITV 1's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? in an effort to raise vital
funds for the Charity. He was seated beside his former Live And
Kicking co-presenter, Emma Forbes, who was supporting her chosen
charity, Wellbeing of Women, in the episode which was screened last
night.
The pair battled through the questions, and engaged in some
friendly banter about which football team Christiano Ronaldo had
recently transferred to (the answer was Real Madrid by the way).
Andi and Emma were unable to hide their dismay when they could not
work out which country had experienced the Peasants Revolt of 1382.
Their 'phone a friend' was unable to come up with an answer either,
much to Andi's amusement! They finally gambled on the answer of
'Britain' and were absolutely correct, much to their relief.
Following a tense final, Andi and Emma managed to raise an
impressive £20,000, which will be divided between both charities.
As well as raising funds for The Prostate Cancer Charity, Andi was
also given the opportunity to speak about his reasons behind
wanting to raise awareness of the disease, including the fact that
African Caribbean men are three times more likely to develop
prostate cancer than white men.
The Charity would like to say a huge thank you and well done to
both Andi and Emma.
