Exploring new molecular and cellular pathways to better define risk in prostate cancer.

Cardiff UniversityProfessor Alan Clarke£244,0862013 - 2016

The project in a nutshell

Investigating how three mutations in signalling pathways - all of which have been linked to prostate cancer - work together to make prostate cancer cells multiply and spread, and how they affect cancer stem cells.

Why we funded it

This research could identify men who may benefit from treatment that targets these mutations. It could also find out whether these mutations and cancer stem cells could be used to create a test to work out individual risk for each patient with prostate cancer.
