Marathon runners

Virgin London Marathon

Thank you!

A huge thanks goes out to our incredible team of 312 runners representing Prostate Cancer UK in the Virgin London Marathon 2013. We have been overwhelmed by your stories of dedication to our cause, and we're so grateful for the £350,000 you have raised as a team to fight prostate cancer.

Want to run the Virgin London Marathon next year?

The 2014 Virgin London Marathon will be taking place on Sunday 13 April and the organiser's ballot is now closed, following 125,000 people registering in record time. All is not lost! You can still apply for one of our charity places, following the directions below.

Apply for a charity place

Our application process for the 2014 Virgin London Marathon is now open! To be in with a chance of securing a spot on Team Run please download and complete our application form. Please return your form to us by 27th September at the latest, and we will then be in touch to let you know whether we are able to offer you a place by mid October. Note, if you are successful in gaining a ballot place after being awarded a charity place, we would ask you to run under the ballot place (with no min. sponsorship target), allowing us to award the charity entry to another runner.

All charity place runners are asked to pledge to raise £2000 in sponsorship.

If you have any questions about the event or the application process please email events@prostatecanceruk.org

Ballot Entry

The ballot to enter the 2014 race opens on Monday 29 April 2013 at http://www.virginlondonmarathon.com/. We recommend you sign up as soon as you can once the ballot goes live, as it has filled within hours for in previous years.

The ballot offers applicatants a 1/5 chance of gaining an entry, and we will be launching our charity place application process for everyone unable to gain a place in the ballot shortly.
