What will the Research Action Fund do?
To date, prostate cancer has been largely overlooked by the
research community. The Research Action Fund is changing that by
inviting research proposals from the UK's best scientists and
researchers.
Each project will be rigorously assessed by an international
peer review and independently approved by our Research
Advisory Committee, made up of leading scientists and doctors
in the UK's prostate cancer research community and men with
prostate cancer.
Why become a Research Action Fund member?
- Despite being the most common cancer in men, little is known
about the disease. The Research Action Fund aims to increase this
awareness and understanding of the disease.
- The Research Action Fund scheme funds research across the
whole of the prostate cancer journey. Awareness,
prevention, diagnoses, treatment and quality of
life.
- We have a Research Strategy in place, which is
also run in conjunction with our 2020 goals, to ensure the projects
we fund are relevant and progressive.
