Literature review into perceptions of prostate cancer in African Caribbean men

We recently funded a literature review that was carried out by King's College, London.  The aim was to identify research into perceptions of prostate cancer in African Caribbean men. It also explored how successful projects were at improving knowledge of prostate cancer and healthy behaviour in African Caribbean men.

The study revealed how African Caribbean men's attitudes towards ill-heath, prostate cancer and healthcare services all affect the way in which they access information and services.  It also revealed examples of good practice for delivering interventions within the community to improve knowledge of prostate cancer and to encourage men to access information and health care services.
